If any member is interested in finding out about joining the committee please contact any of the above people. The committee would welcome new faces.

If you know of anyone wishing to join the tennis club please ask them to go to www.claveringtennis.org.uk and download a subscription form which on completion, please forward with cheque for the correct amount to Membership Secretary at the address on the form. If you have difficulty with this, then phone someone on the Committee.

The Courts

The courts may be booked at any time when an organised event is not scheduled.
Court booking forms are displayed weekly on the notice board. Please use them to reserve a court.
The gate by the pavilion will be left unlocked. The field-side gate will remain locked.
Guests should become members if they are likely to use the courts more than 3 times a year.
Please use only approved tennis shoes. Any other form of footwear (including large-tread trainers) seriously damages the court surface.

IF BOWLS CLUB IN USE PLEASE USE TENNIS COURT ENTRANCE.

MATCHES: We are playing in numerous matches at present and we are always looking to include as many members as possible. We are particularly keen to have more men to call on so please put yourself forward and call either Di Cross on 01371 832071 or Louise Oliver (01799-550265) for more details.

Before coaching is booked it is essential that membership fees have been paid for the current year. To avoid disappointment please secure your place as soon as possible by phoning the appropriate contact as listed.

Monday

11 a.m. – 12 noon

Sunday

10.30 a.m.

Opening Season Club Morning:

Starting on the 15^th April this morning will be a chance to find out about and sign up for tennis coaching for adults and children and forthcoming events. You can also join the club or pay renewal subscriptions with a £5 discount! All are welcome to come. Coffee and biscuits will be served.

Subsequent Sundays will carry on throughout the season, so please just turn up from 10.30 AM until 12 noon. We are hoping to restart the informal 2^nd Sunday in the month tournaments.

FORTHCOMING EVENTS FOR YOUR DIARY;

Hospital Cup Tournament:

Anyone who would like the opportunity to enter this, there will be application forms posted on the tennis club notice board from the middle of April onwards.

The finals will be held in September.

Wimbledon Tickets:

On Sunday 29^th April the “Draw for Wimbledon Tickets” will take place in the evening, you will be phoned at that time, should you be so lucky. Only paid-up Jubilee Members will be entered into the draw. Another reason to pay your subscription by 15^th April!

Clavering Fete: Monday 28th May 2 - 4p.m. Come and see how fast you can serve! There will also be children’s activities on the other court, come and enjoy the fun.

Millennium Tournament:

Sunday 10^th June. Informal Tournament starting at 10.30am for 16 and over or if younger, be able to play a reasonable game, there will be a lunch provided at a cost of £5 and the proceeds will go to a charity of the committees choice – more later but keep this date free.
