Club Head Coach
At Clavering Tennis Club we are fortunate to have a dynamic and experienced coach in Steve Smith.
A bit about Steve :-
Tennis is a huge passion of mine.
I've been coaching for over 15 years across the country as well as abroad.
I teach all levels of players, teams and abilities.
I was 35's County captain for 6 years and have a vast knowledge of competitive play.
Whether you're looking to brush up your tactical awareness in singles, or doubles, or just improve your fitness while learning a fun new sport we have something for all ages.
Available for all members.
Prices start at £25 per hour.

These are run by Katie Harris who is a LTA Level 2 accredited coach.
Intermediates 9.30 am to 11.00 am
Beginners 11.00 am to 12.00 noon.
Sessions are normally 6 weeks, year round during term time.

In the Summer League our positions were ;-
Ladies Runners up in Division 1
Mens 3rd in Division1
Mixed relegated from the Premier Division
Currently in the Winter League the position are :-
Ladies top of Division 1
Mens 2nd in Division 1
Mixed top of Division 1
In the 2018 Hospital Cup we had entries in the Ladies, Mens and Mixed Doubles Competition.
Michael and Richard Cosgrave won the Mens Doubles, beating a pair from the Grove in the finals held at Stebbing
